About Me
So far I have met a lot of fun, nice, and interesting people in CR, and I am very interested in making more new friend connections. I am definitely not a fan of running in the Chicago cold weather, so I am looking forward to the camaraderie of the warmer weather running season. Except for the past few years, I have been a sprinter my entire running career. When not enjoying speed work, I try to keep it between an 8:30-10 minute pace. I like to keep my schedule active, but am usually open to a run, exploring, or general outside activity. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Hi Tony!
I emailed the clock tower "happy feet" group, but didn't know if you were on the list, so thought I forward you the follow up to my MCM experience. Here it is: Well, I did it! I was shooting for a 4:15 and finished at 4:18:39 so a little over. However, a 9 minute PR from my last race, so to say I'm thrilled, is an understatement! I stayed very strong.. until mile 23. Fell apart a bit there. Had one too many GU packets at that point and it sat in my stomach like a lead balloon. Lesson learned I have the Clocktower runners to thank! You all were so welcoming and encouraging. You gave me my edge back and had a big part in today's run. MCM is an incredible race... very crowded, a bit hilly in the first 8, but a great race. The Marines were AWESOME! (and very cute). So, I'll be back for fun runs soon (probably not the next two weeks, but soon!) Thanks again all! See you soon! Sarah P.
hey
Thanks for the well wishes, Tony! I'm very excited about MCM and will post a race report for the Clocktower crew when I finish!
You can't miss that. Have a great time. See you soon. Thanks for keeping us posted.
